The DelRay

The DelRay is a great place to have your wedding and/or reception. They do all the set up and clean up so you don't have to worry about any of that. They have 3 DJs and 2 caterers to choose from. They also offer dance lessons as part of their package. The only problem we had was with the DJ. One was booked at another venue that day. One never responded to my email so I had to tell the owner and when he finally did respond he seemed somewhat unprofessional. So this left us with the third. He did an okay job but he didn't play a lot of the songs people requested and didn't really pick songs to get people out dancing. Although my mother in law said she did get some compliments from her friends and family about him so just depends on your point of view I guess.

The DelRay is a great place to hold a wedding reception for up to 350 guests. Located in downtown Lincoln, parking is easily accessible because it is right next to a parking garage. The site has a much warmer feeling than most reception halls with its wood floors and brick walls. There is no need to decorate because of the buildings character. The staff was easy to work with most of the time. The only complaints that I heard from guests was the wait at the bar otherwise the staff made sure our night was stressfree.

The DelRay Ballroom was a beautiful location for our wedding reception. They provide a DJ and have a specific caterer that they work with. However, we did have some problems with the DJ. The one we chose was terminated, our second chose was unavailable and we got stuck with an inexperienced DJ. He did an okay job but did not play many of the songs that we had listed as favorites.
