Bandstand Music

Bandstand Music was one of the first vendors we booked when planning our wedding. We requested to meet with a specific DJ first (Shawn) that was recommended to us by someone else. Due to our crazy work schedules, my fiance was unable to meet with him at first so I went with my maid of honor. He seemed really nice and flexible when it came to playing the type of music that we wanted, so we went ahead and booked soon after that. We had a long engagement, so naturally due to all the time that had passed (and the fact that my fiance hadn't met him yet), we requested to meet with him in person again a couple months before the wedding to go over all of the final details (he was running the music for our ceremony & reception both). He seemed a bit reluctant to meet with us in person as he said he thought a phone call would probably be sufficient, but we finally arranged a time to meet with him. My fiance and I waited around only for him to not show up at all. My fiance called him and the extent of the conversation was basically "Oops, I forgot." We called Bandstand to arrange to meet with a different DJ, as we were no longer comfortable having him in charge of our wedding ceremony & reception. We ended up having the owner of the company (Steve) as our DJ, which was definitely a much better fit. We met with him and went over everything in detail. We felt much better as he was very friendly and explained everything really well. He was very professional and assured us that he would handle everything. Our ceremony music was timed perfectly, and he stuck pretty close to the music we requested be played during the reception (depsite a brief mix up where he skipped over one of our bridesmaids/groomsmen during our grand entrance--we laughed it off as he quickly corrected himself and even came up to the head table later to apologize to the bridal party). He was very outgoing and got along great with our family and friends. Overall, I would reccomend Bandstand Music as they are affordable, friendly, and very willing to work with you to find a DJ that you are compatible with. They quickly resolved the issue with the first DJ and found us a solution that we were happy with.

Amy from Bandstand was great. She is very accommodating and has a great personality. She is not an overwhelming or loud DJ, which I liked too. She was working the whole night, keeping people dancing or grabbing drinks for the wedding party. I highly recommend her. She was one vendor that actually decreased my stress level, a nice change. I also really liked Bandstands online database; it made it so easy to pick song and give her a complete list.

Mark at Bandstand did a great job. He was so helpful during the reception and knew exactly what to do. It was really nice to have so many people involved in the dance.

I felt like they knew exactly what I needed. They were very professional and one of the cheapest in Omaha. My DJ was amazing and they provided me with wonderful choices of music and kept the dancefloor running all night!

Bandstand Music was great to work with. They provided us with all the necessary information and tools to make sure that our reception and dance went smoothly. Our DJ, Dave, was wonderful. He was very upbeat and got the crowd going. When a piece of family jewelry went missing he was right on top of things announcing it to the crowd and asking everyone to please keep an eye out for it. He had also taken into account my husbands interests. They both like to play a PC game called World of Warcraft...apparently the music from the game was played while dinner was going on. How'd we know? Our DJ approached my husband with a burned CD of the music after our entire event was over. That is what I call going above and beyond. I would HIGHLY recommend Bandstand Music to anyone.

Wonderful! Our DJ was phenomenal! He kept things going right along and was very entertaining. He also did magic tricks (not hoaky at all!) and made balloon animals for the little kids which they loved!

Marty was our DJ. Do not use him. He didn't listen to any of the requests for songs I asked him to play. He didn't follow the agenda that I had prepared and he didn't let me know any of this in advance. Also, I requested he play a specific song as the last song and so when he announced the last song and started a slow one I said, "Can we speed it up?" He ROLLED HIS EYES at me and ignored me. Not ok!!!!!

After a disastrous attempt at a swing band we ended up going with a DJ after all. We were nervous about him being the annoying guy with the "radio voice" who just for the love of it all wants everyone to dance the funky chicken. Instead he was polite and not loud and obnoxious. He was great about sticking to the list that my husband gave him and keeping things moving smoothly. We had a bit of a surprise for our first dance and he was great about playing along. As against having a DJ as I was, I am glad we ended up going with Bandstand.

Everyone loved our DJ! To this day...almost a year later, people still coment on how great our DJ was. They were great to work with and wanted to make sure everything went perfectly for our reception. The music was great and the DJ made sure that people were on the dance floor all night.

We used Mark and he was awesome! He really helped to make our night extra special. The dance floor was packed all night!

The music was great. Everything was timed out... the way we wanted it. They send you books to pick out your songs and put your reception in order right down to how you introduce your wedding party. The only issue I had with out DJ was he started the wrong song for our first song, but my mom quickly corrected him and everything else was great!!!

I had never seen a Bandstand Music dj, so I really didnt know what to expect, but I was blown away!! From the beginning Steve was right on top of things, we were sent a book to pick out music from, to list the wedding party, and anything else we'd like him to do, he would have done it!! Right away at the reception he came out to greet us and assured us or reception would be fun and worry free. He was right...he was really friendly and exciting the entire night and even stayed an extra hour! He played all the music we wanted and none we didnt. He even did magic and balloon animals for the kids at the reception. We loved bandstand music!!!

I was very disappointed with Bandstand, as I was told that I could not request a certain DJ, I would not be meeting with my DJ, and my requests were not followed. Some examples were the DJ not wearing what we requested, not playing some of the songs we had requested in a timely manner, and playing songs that we had outlined as being on our "Do Not Play" list. I contacted Bandstand about my concerns, and was never contacted to address them.

they were awesome. so flexible. wide variety of music and if you want a special son/cd played than bring it and they will plat it. the DJ just kept things moving right along, which was important to us.

I loved Bandstand Music! My husband and I were very much different in our taste of music. We picked our songs for the first dances and such and after that we left it in the hands of the DJ. They did an excellent job providing a great music atmosphere for our reception. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Thanks!
