Thank you for considering McMillan Music to help you celebrate your special day. I understand how important this day is for you and your loved ones and know that your entertainment choice plays an important role in that. My goal is to make your day even more memorable and magical by providing amazing music to set the scene and help you celebrate.
In the summer of 2003 I started working one of the largest DJ companies in the country. I quickly learned the skills that one needs to successfully DJ Wedding receptions, parties as well as a variety of other events. A good DJ not only has to know how to play music but also how to manage the flow of a reception, or other event, and the how to take care of the Bride and Groom, or clients, and their guests. During the course of my employment I became one of their most requested and highest evaluated DJ's. I averaged between 60-75 shows per year for a total of over 250 shows in my career. I left that company two years ago because of the birth of my son. While away I missed the business but desired a little more control over my scheduling and so decided to start my own business. I utilize a full DJ system consisting of two CD players, a mixing board, two large speakers and speaker stands, two specialty lights and a mirror ball light. My Song collection consists of songs from the 40's and 50's all the way up to music from today, Rock, Rap, R&B, Country, Swing and many other specialty songs. I am constantly updating my music collection and feel that it is very complete.
My Standard contract is 5 working hours which does not include set up and tear down (that's done on my own time), the rate is $400 for the standard 5 hour contract. The overtime rate is $100 per hour over the 5 hour time. I require a $100 dollar non-refundable deposit that will go toward the full price of the show. I always call two weeks prior to the event to review your sheet and confirm your needs and expectations.
